On Saturday, Feb 2, the OTHG annual awards banquet was held at the Holiday Inn Sacramento Downtown-Arena.

The Top 25, class and national champions were recognized with customized trophies and jackets. Club jerseys went to 52 Master rider Randy Blair who earned top honors with the #1 plate, followed by 58 Expert Kevin Kearney at #2, and 52 Novice Ronald Medlock at #3.

Gathering in the aptly named Sierra Ballroom, OTHG club members, family and friends enjoyed views of downtown and the nearby Golden 1 Center, along with a banquet of tri-trip, chicken, salads and desserts selected by Race Director Rick Van Dyk.

52 Master Robert Austin emceed the event, with President Dave Mozingo and Vice President Brent Workman handing out the awards.
Club Treasurer Charlie Baldwin stayed busy collecting trophies, placing #4 overall.

The DJ setup offered up a selection of old and new favorites, and the dancing finally got started after most of the crowd already left.

As a new member this was my first banquet. My wife and I had a great time meeting members and enjoying the activities of the evening. Look forward to next years. I only hope I do well enough to score one of those awesome trophies.
